Researchers want to better understand and educate others about how people with disabilities develop social relationships when starting a new job. They’re asking for people with disabilities who have recently started a new job to share their experiences!

An opportunity to share your experiences as a new employee with a disability. Researchers are interested in learning how to better understand and educate others about how people with disabilities develop social relationships when starting a new job.
Who
People with disabilities who have recently started a new job.
How
Complete 4 electronic surveys over a span of 3 months, with assistance if needed. The surveys will include questions about:
- How you communicate about your disability
- Ways you seek support from coworkers
- How satisfied you are
- Your engagement and performance at work
- Demographic information, including characteristics of your disability
Reimbursement
Participants will be paid $15.00 ($5.00 for each survey after the first).

About This Study
This study is the result of a collaboration between faculty members at Rice University, University of Colorado-Boulder, University of Minnesota, York University, and the University of Houston-Downtown. It will result in a published academic paper on the employment experiences of employees with disabilities.
